Founder & President, Australian Academies Group. Dr. Ursua convenes the summit, leads the afternoon session on micro-credentials and lifelong learning, and moderates the “Perth in Focus” conversation. More than 25 years in Australian vocational education, including 16 years leading internationalisation across the ASEAN region; Individual Fellow of the World Alliance for Microcredentials; founder of eVersity, through which the first publicly delivered AI-integrated learning programs in the Philippines were introduced.

Dean of two colleges across Our Lady of Fatima University’s six campuses, and the first Filipino elected to the Board of Directors of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education. Under a directional statement of “Driven by Vision, Fueled by Innovation”, his work spans quality assurance, accreditation systems, industry collaboration and curriculum innovation. Founding Chairman of the IACHTP, a member of the Commission on Higher Education’s technical committee for hospitality and tourism management, an accreditor for the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation, and chair of the editorial board of the Hospitality and Tourism Research Journal in Asia and the Pacific. Founding Director of the World Alliance for Microcredentials Foundation, co-founded with Stefano Tirati, the international fellowship of micro-credential practitioners headquartered in the Netherlands. Hers is one of the defining voices in the global conversation on micro-credentials, shaping how flexible, quality-assured learning earns its place in lifelong learning and workforce development. An academic leader across three decades and three continents, she has led university colleges in the United Kingdom and France, served as Deputy Chief Executive for Learning and Teaching at Otago Polytechnic in New Zealand and as Senior Adviser for Academic Innovation through New Zealand’s national vocational education reform, and directed the UNESCO-chaired Open Education Resource universitas. Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. At the summit: the keynote address, delivered live from Europe, on the evolving micro-credentials landscape, what it offers and asks of learners, educators and institutions, and making micro-credentials matter in partnership and through collaboration.

Two decades across Canadian higher education, from college President and Chief Executive Officer to Assistant Deputy Minister. Formerly Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Nunavut Arctic College, he led transformational initiatives in academics, administration and applied research across Canada’s north, and most recently led the establishment of the Centre for Indigenous Health Leadership in British Columbia. A pioneering voice on artificial intelligence and immersive learning in the modern campus, and on micro-credentials that carry recognition to remote and underserved communities. At the summit: the morning keynote, delivered live from Canada, guidance from Canada’s journey offered for Asia.

A Sorsogon-born, Michelin-trained chef whose career runs from Le Meurice in Paris under Alain Ducasse to the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and the Four Seasons in Hong Kong and Macau. Arriving in Perth at sixteen, he built Olio’s Fine Food into a house serving Rolls-Royce, Chanel and Bentley, with Origin by Olio’s as its signature restaurant, and now brings it home with Seafood 8 by Olio’s, his 130-seat restaurant in Araneta City, which launches officially on 18 September 2026, the day after the summit. At the summit: the industry voice on what work-ready truly means, from a Filipino chef who saw opportunity in Perth and built an empire on it.
